JH SNOW AND SPORT PARK MASTERPLAN

JH Snow and Sport Park is located northwest of Beijing, where the flat metropolitan land suddenly turns into mountains. The project came about due to the 2015 selection of Beijing as the host of the 2022 Winter Olympics, and is related to the increasing interest in winter sports among Chinese citizens. Unlike the other winter parks created around the city recently, JH Snow and Sport will be the only one that can be reached by an approximately one-hour subway commute from downtown Beijing.

金辉冰雪体育公园位于北京市西北方向的温泉镇，在这里，城市的地形开始由平坦变成连绵的山脉。这个项目的改造升级是2015年北京被选中作为2022年冬季奥运会举办城市、中国公众对冬季运动兴趣增加的直接结果。在北京城市及周边已建成或近期建成的滑雪场中，金辉滑雪场是唯一一个可以通过地铁交通到达的滑雪场，公共交通从市中心到达雪场约1个小时。

More than skiing, the park will host a varied program, including retail, commercial, hospitality, and a wide selection of sports facilities. Indoor programs will be hosted in several buildings that already exist in the park and are slated for renovation. Outdoor activities have been planned to guarantee an all-year utilization of the area: Ski slopes will turn into sliding games, dry-ski tracks, and downhill bicycle courses in the summertime. Other functions include a camping area, a biological food farm, and an adventure park.

除了滑雪，这个公园包含了多样的功能和项目，如零售、娱乐、温泉酒店及各种的体育运动设施（冰球、各类球类运动等）。室内活动及服务设施主要集中在园区内的改造建筑中。室外活动的规划考虑到全季节运营的需要：如滑雪道在非冬季被改造为滑道、旱雪道、山地自行车道。其它园区功能还包括露营区、有机农场、冒险乐园等。

Considering the site’s close proximity to the metropolitan core, the design carefully avoids any reference to the natural alpine environment and instead chooses a more playful identity that is ideal for families and kids used to urban areas. This decision also matches the client’s requirements to target the young while offering a strong focus on the educational aspect.

考虑到基地与市区的毗邻性，项目的设计避免类比阿尔卑斯滑雪区，而是选择定位于一种更有趣好玩的功能布局，非常适合家庭和青少年。这也符合客户定位于年轻群体，更侧重于体育运动的教育和培训的要求。
